Dr Lee is pleased to offer compassionate billing for pensioners, but we regret to inform that we cannot accommodate bulk-billing consults.

Dr Lee will frequently recommend patients to seek your (primary care specialist) assistance in consideration for a GPMP or MHCP to allow better access to allied health inputs. In addition, certain group pain management programs (such as Turning Pain into Gain) require a referral from a General Practitioner for the service to be provided free of charge to patients. Dr Lee thanks you in advance for assisting him in these regards.

Dr Lee fully adheres to the PBS and Department of Health (WA) S8 prescribing regulations, and does not usually see patients solely to authorize ongoing opioid prescriptions, especially for conventional opioid analgesia such as Oxycontin, Targin or Fentanyl patch. Where applicable and after a full review, Dr Lee may offer suggestions for gradual weaning or rotation to a potentially safer option to support you and your patient.

Patients with substance use and addiction issues are generally unsuitable for private pain clinic, and for select cases Dr Lee may suggest suitable alternatives in the private or public sector.

While Dr Lee holds a public appointment at the Pain Management Centre, Royal Perth Hospital, all public pain clinic referrals are directed through the Central Referral System (CRS) according to catchment areas and distributed randomly. It cannot be guaranteed that Dr Lee can see named referrals for public patients.
